Ascent Trip ReportA trail hike ..... 3.2 miles, 2h30 minutes.
From the main intersection in Weld I took Center Hill Road north as it climbs 1.4 miles to the Mount Blue State Park Headquarters, then 4.5 miles to the Mount Blue TH Parking at the very end of Mount Blue Road (went by the Center Hill Entrance and Ranger Station on the right at 1.1 miles from the Park Headquarters, a short distance after this entrance Center hill Road turns to Mount Blue Road). The Mount Blue trail says 1.6 miles to the summit.
I climbed the well-maintained/moderate trail northeast to the summit with some steep sections, I huffed and puffed with granny breaks. Arrived at wooded summit with a bit of a clearing adorned with new Observation Tower, which offers great views.
This climb completes Maine in the PB List "US State Park High Points", outstanding is the one peak in PA.
I had a lot of time left in the day so I visited Center Hill before leaving the Park, see its TR.
