Ascent Trip ReportGo 1.5 miles east of Bly on OR 140; north on Campbell Lake Rd 0.5 mile; right on FSR 34 past the Mitchell Recreation Area for approx 14.7 miles; left on FSR 012 for 1.4 miles to the Gearhart Mountain Wilderness TH. It is a short walk from the parking area up a gated service road to Lookout Rock L.O., which is no longer staffed and not well maintained. The L.O. is reached by a brief class 2 scramble up to its rock perch from the end of the road. |
