Ascent Trip Report

This was a Sierra Peaks Section trip led by Dale Van Dalsem and Mary McMannes. On day one, our group backpacked from Dana Meadows over Mono Pass to Upper Sardine Lake, set up camp, then dayhiked Mount Gibbs via its class 1 south ridge. On day two, we packed up early, hiked over Mono Pass to the Parker Pass Trail, dropped our packs, then climbed Koip Peak via its class 2 east slope from Koip Peak Pass; afterwards, our group returned to and picked up our packs, then hiked out to the vehicles.
