Ascent Trip Report

This was a 7 day backpack trip from Onion Valley to Whitney Portal to Climb some peaks located along the John Muir Trail. On the fifth day, Rick Chval, Al Craun and I left our camp along the John Muir Trail and hiked up the Shepherd Pass trail to near the pass, then climbed Mount Tyndall via its class 2 Northwest Ridge route. Also, we climbed Mount Keith on the third day of this backpack trip.
