Ascent Trip Report

This was a four day backpack to climb East Vidette and Center Peak. On day one, Patty and I backpacked from Onion Valley over Kearsarge Pass to the JMT, then we traveled south on the JMT to Vidette Meadows and set up camp. The next day, Patty and I went up the JMT to about 10,170' in elevation, then hiked up to the basin located southeast of the peak, then ascended the peak's easy class 3 east ridge to the top. On day three, we day hiked Center Peak via Center Basin and, on day four, we backpacked out over Kearsarge Pass to the vehicle. Also, I obtained my SPS Senior Emblem on this peak!
