|Date:||Saturday, September 11, 2010|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||13360 ft / 4072 m|
Ascent Trip ReportOn day one, Bob and I backpacked from Lake Sabrina to Baboon Lake and set up camp. On day two, we climbed the peak by way of its class 2 Southeast Chute route, Eckert Variation. Bob and I made our way up to Sunset Lake and then over to and up the glacier to the Powell-Thompson Col; we managed to ascend the glacier without an ice ax or crampons because there was exposed rocks and rock debris on the ice to walk on. Next, we followed a sandy ledge to the peak's southeast chute, then made our way up the chute to the summit. Afterwards, we returned to camp following our ascent route, then backpacked out to the vehicle.
