Ascent Trip ReportAlgonquin, Wright and Iroquois
Route = Van Hoevenberg Trail to Algonquin Trail to Wright Trail to Wright and back, then to Algonquin to Boundary to Iroquois and back the way we came
Distance round-trip (estimated) = 10.4 miles
Total hike time (including stops) = 8.5 hours
Cumulative elevation gain (estimate) = 4500 feet
Trailhead used = ADK LOJ
Comments: Great hike. Wright was very windy that day but the plane wreckage was awesome (in a sad way). The aluminum plane pieces look like they could have been dropped there recently. Algonquin’s peak is very nice with great views of Colden and Marcy behind it. The walk over to Iroquois was short. We wish we could have gotten to Marshall from there but it looked like a major challenge.
