Ascent Trip ReportI hate drive ups, but there was no time to road hike up from the water so we checked out the island by driving up the big hill (I would leave from the southeast parking lot Inn where there is a beautiful bed and breakfast).
This is a beautiful Island and much larger than we realized. Will come back to visit more. Roadway bisecting the south portion of the island nearly drives you up to the summit hitting the 150 meter contour. Parked at small motel lot. Nobody home. Previous TRs give detials of various highpointing detials.
Information station on island was very helpful with things to come back and do on island but they did not know about the HP. Most impressive impression on trip was of the interesting waterfall features on the Quebec side of the large wall guarding the St Lauwrence River especially on the drive across the bridge.
