Ascent Trip Report

Departed the Pole Creek trail head at 0600, took the Chambers Lakes trail off the main Green Lakes trail, then branched off to the right to reach the SE ridge leading up to N. Sister at 0745. Made great time for an attempt at all three sisters under 24 hours. However, I turned around at the end of the Bowling Alley at 1015 due to super hard packed snow/ice on the NW side that I didn't want to attempt while climbing solo. Other climbers with full ice tools also turned around to attempt the peak later that afternoon. After turning around, I took the ridge line between North and Middle Sister to get to Camp Lake. From there I descended to the Green Lakes junction (@1415) and started hiking to Green Lakes to meet with the other climbers (reached Green Lakes at 1800). Excellent day and good weather for hiking, still a fair amount of snow on all parts of the trail above the lower part of the Sisters Wilderness valley and en route to Green Lakes.
