Ascent Trip ReportThis may be my first bonafide peak bagging experience. I was 13 and we had attended, the night before, a Braves game in Fulton County Stadium. One of the cool things about being on Stone Mountain the next day was that we could see the blimp flying around the stadium in downtown Atlanta. That was pretty cool.
In my 13 yr old memory, this was a tough, hot, hike. I have done it more recently, and of course it's not so bad. The view of the Atlanta skyline is no less magnificent. One of, if not the best outdoor experience in the greater Atlanta area.
