Ascent Trip ReportStarted out on the Ice Gulch path, which was a pretty calm walk in the woods, with occasional muddy parts. The fun started at Fairy Spring. The moss in the area really creates kind of a magical feel to it,though when it was on the rocks on the trail, great care is needed for footing.Ice Gulch doesnt really change too much in elevation, but is challenging and requires concentration. There was still ice underneath some of the rocks and created a cooling sensation, which was welcome in the 80 something degree heat. There were also a couple areas where there were swarms of butterflies...Took Cook path until N 44 24.569 W 071 17.265 where I followed several game trails on the half mile bushwhack to the summit. The last tenth of a mile was the only real thick part...Thought I was done bushwhacking once I found the trail, but there was clearly a greater highpoint, which I made the short whack to.Descended via Mt Crescent trail to Bootspring cutoff and back to Randolph Hill Rd.
