Ascent Trip ReportA trail climb ..... 2.6 miles, 1h30 hours RT.
From the intersection of hwy 412/563 we drove west on 563 for 1.1 miles to a right on Top Rock Trail, .6 miles to the PA State Parking Lot on the left. This was my TH.
The orange blazed trail (ignore the gated road on the right) leaves the Parking and climbs westerly directly to the summit at about 1.3 miles. The last half of this trail is through a field of humongous rocks/boulders.
I checked out the whole area and chose my HP on perhaps the largest 15 foot high boulder with the only access being from the south side at the big tree , GPS 40.48864,-75.21886.
I couldn't find the 2 BM referred-to in Michael Schwartz's TR, I did however find (by chance) the summit Register .... hidden in the hole of a huge horizontal dead tree, northeast of the summit boulder. I signed in.
