Ascent Trip ReportLeft high camp (located where Meany Crest meets the Fryingpan Glacier) at 6:00 and traversed to Whitman Gap (1.75 hours). Broke for snack on the windy gap (30 minutes) and then traversed to base of final snow headwall (45 minutes). Climbed the snow couloir to the rocky summit (3 hours) arriving at the summit in exactly 6 hours.
Descent:
Left at 1:00
We made our way back to camp in 5 hours, broke camp and started down by 7:00 PM. Arrived at the trail head at 10:15 and drove home.
