Ascent Trip Report

It took two hikes of this peak in three days to realize the beauty that awaits at the cliff tops. The first hike was under the conditions listed and there was no view at all. I had seen pictures of Crawford Notch from this vantage point and really wanted to see it for myself. Thus the second hike on 8/23/06.

The second hike was a crystal clear day and the view of Crawford Notch is incredible. It truly gives you a sense of the force behind a retreating glacier. Short, relatively easy hike, highly recommended if in the area. On a clear day, you can see the weather station on Mount Washington and the cog railway train making its way up and down the slope.
