Ascent Trip Report

Great to finally be able to get out of the city again after a few weekends of renovations.

This is becoming a favorite little mountain for me when I don't have much time to get away. This is my 4th hike to the summit. Only 45 minute drive from Montreal. The trails are short, but the summit is very nice, even though there's a communication tower there. You can easily get 360 degree views from the summit by walking around a bit, back to Montreal, down to the Eastern Townships and Vermont as well as towards the other Montérégienne hills. Always seems you can find a relatively quiet place for yourself to sit and enjoy the views.

The Panorama trail to the summit now loops back down the other side through the carrière, an area of the mountain that used to be mined for rock. Good views towards Mont Rougemont and Mont Yamaska and further beyond going down this way.
