Start: from NW, car park at Les Cornes, 4km N of Doucy-en-Bauges
Route: mapped track well defined all the way to summit
Difficulties: summit rocks a little slippery early morning.
Trig point: concentric-ringed rivet in 15cm limestone block (outcrop?) with IGN plaque on side, under small “witches hat” shelter.
Notes: Big complex hill, impressive architecture, fine rocky summit. Trail shoes ideal. Views partially obscured by cloud. Nutcracker heard; 1 Chamois by path at 2060m, by path. Several parties encountered; 12 cars parked.
