Ascent Trip ReportFive days of driving white-out. No visibility to orient oneself. Could not use even a map or compass. Two attempts to approach Muir Camp in near total whiteout. Maximum visibility about 100 feet. Quick accumulating snow and no snowshoes. Probable max altitude was 9000 feet. Really punishing! Lots of red snow on the descent. |
