Time start: 5am departure from Whitney Portal campground.
Arrive at 12,000’ base of climb: noon (7 hour approach hike)
Arrive at summit: 5:00pm
Time final: return to Whitney Portal campground at 10:30pm
Descent via Muir Trail aka Pacific Crest Trail
