Ascent Trip Report

Saw the radio tower from our hotel at the other side of Great Bay and since trails are hard to find in the BVI you know where there is a tower there is a maintenance trail. Danny and I were intrigued by the name of this point on all of the maps and unlike most of the features of the island we found one map that had 5 surveyed spot elevations for peaks on Jost Van Dyke and this tiny little point guarding the west side of Great Bay was one of them so we decided to hike up to it and see some views. As usual it rained on the way up and way down once we got started. As usual the views are from the passes and saddles not the peak where the tower is. When my family finally got Sasha's visa worked out and joined us we hiked from Great Bay to White Bay and that is a gorgeous hike with an amazing view of White Bay in the hairpin curve of the road. Good snorkeling in White Bay. Coming back, I ran up the tower again - how can you not run up something called "Pull and Be Damn' Point" ??
