Ascent Trip ReportI actually started to hike this again yesterday after my failed attempt on the 21st, but my feet were too sore from wearing new shoes that I turned back after about 1 1/2 hours and decided to rest them until today.
So starting off early, wearing my old worn out shoes I started again at The Spur Cross Conservation Area on Spur Cross road, took #247 to the east junction with #248 (the way I come down on the 21st), up #248 to the platue and then up to Quien Sabe. I went to the main broad peak on the west, which looked higher, but then saw a large pile of rocks on the smaller peak to the west so went over there too. I'm still not sure which one is the true summit. I returned back the same way, total time from the parking lot R/T was 8 hours and 25 minutes. I saw a bunch of Javelina on the way up, got some good pics. Feet were fine the whole way, no problems.
