Ascent Trip Report

PB lists 2 Candidate High Point Areas, both at the very northeast corner of the Co.

AREA 1 ..... southbound walk in a plowed corn field ..... 600 yards RT.
After picking up coffee at Tim Horton's in Piqua we drove east on #36 through the village of Fletcher to the hamlet of Lena where we turned left on Pena-Palestine Road, 2 miles north to a right on Snodgrass Road, .34 miles right on Worthington Road (which is the Miami- Champaign Co Line), at 200 yards south where the road turns left (east) we parked the van .... the HP is 300 yards due south on the Co Line in open fields.
I walked the frozen plowed field to the high ground, nothing obvious, my spot was at GPS 40.16533,-84.02470.

AREA 2
We returned to Lena-Palestine Road and continued north .37 miles and parked the van, the HP is to the east (right) at 250 yards in harvested corn fields.
I walked east a line between 2 fields to the obvious High Point, my GPS 40.17608,-84.02677.

From here we went north a short distance to the Shelby CoHP.

"SLOOPY LIVES IN A VERY BAD PART OF TOWN
AND EVERYBODY YEAH, TRIES TO PUT SLOOPY DOWN
SLOOPY I DON'T CARE, WHAT YOUR DADDY DO
CUZ YOU KNOW SLOOPY, GIRL, I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU." ...... Ohio's rock song "Hang on Sloopy".
