Ascent Trip Report

It seemed appropriate that after enjoying my sister's retirement ceremony at the Woman's Memmorial at Arlington National Cemetary to go see the many impressive sights in this beautiful American treasure loaded with history. Saw the Changing of the guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier, the monument to the USS Maine, the Arlington House on the hill where Lee lived and in general enjoyed the nice walk among the rolling hills with nice views and thousands of our proud service men and women burried there.

Decided to mark the cemetery approximate HP (not the higher ground at the military installation adjacent) since the hilly paved trails throughout the national cemetary felt like highpointing state and national parks. Nice views of of each the knolls and hills especially at the Arlington House.
