Ascent Trip ReportI joined a Mexican team for the high scrambling portion, as my team (aside from Collin) traveled ahead. They were nice and helpful on the route and we exchanged food, conversation, and business cards while sitting at the very summit. I sent them a photo of their team on the summit after I returned to the US.
Most of us left our unnecessary axes and crampons at a saddle before the rock scramble; Duane didn't cache any gear, so got to head straight down from the summit on a different, direct route. Greg and Rob held back and helped Collin and I with a hand line as we finished the down-scramble. Collin was hit pretty hard by the altitude and I stuck with him for the remainder of our descent.
