Ascent Trip Reportwith Monica and the randomites (Sarah, Matt Ridder, Alex N, Grigory, Chris L, el, Kaitrin, Shahzad, and Jeffrey Daub). The day started out with such promise - clear skies, warm temperatures, and happy hikers looking forward to sledding the ski trails. At least we finished the day with happy hikers. The blue skies slowly changed to gray and cloudy, the temperatures got a little more chilly as we approached the summit, and while we got some sledding in it wasn't what was expected. Thanks to everyone for their patience and understanding - there will be better sledding days with less ice, more snow, and longer daylight hours. At least we got to see the end of the Patriots game from the summit lodge (too bad thy were closed for food though). Good start to the year by claiming a Winter 4K Summit. |
