Ascent Trip Reportwith Monica and the randomites (Pete, Matt Ridder, Heather, Jim, Jesse, & Carrie). It was cold, very cold, standing in the parking lot while we were getting ready to go. The worry was windy conditions at the exposed summit that would have made it even colder. However, the CLEAR BLUE sky tempted us with endless views - and we weren't let down. While there were some winds, they were light and the sun warmed things up. We didn't linger on the summit for too long (it was still pretty cold) but we stayed long enough to take in the amazing views. It was a great group of people to spend the day with - and we went pretty quickly too. Some wanted to be down to see the 4 PM game, we made it back down to see the second half of the 1 PM games. |
