Ascent Trip ReportI only had maps for a northern approach, but Ken brought us from the south through the apple plantation. We went north from the west end of Yeisley and found an approach to the ridge that some folks could coax a low clearance vehicle up. We stopped at an apparently impassable gate a mile and a half shy of the top. It was actually passable, and Taunton can be done as a drive up, but we decided to walk. A really nice hike, as everything was covered in thick ice from accumulated frost and frozen fog. It was relatively cold and there were no views in the fog, but there was also no wind and I enjoyed the white conditions. The benchmark is beside the road and there are two towers, one dismantled and laying on the ground.
