Ascent Trip ReportThis was one of my first winter hikes.
My Dad and I took the North Mountain Trail from Reservation Rd. to the west peak of Mount Pawtuckaway. It started off as a snowmobile trail and was somewhat varied in grade. We later reached a series of intersections, and at one of them was the trail going over the Mount Pawtuckaway ridge, which we took.
The trail to the west peak was steep, but we eventually reached it and some good viewpoints. We didn't continue to the main peak because we were limited on time. |
