Ascent Trip ReportThe Kistler Highway (old NC105) follows the ridge of Dogback Mountain. Heading south from NC183 at Linville Falls, go 7.2 miles and park on the L shoulder just as the road starts to descend. A well-worn trail leads 100 yards NE to the fire ring on the summit and an outstanding view of Table Rock across the Linville Gorge.
