Ascent Trip Report

Fumbled finding the Big Jay Herd Path which leaves the Long Trail just past the Jay Peak Ski Area and snow fence, a bit of blowdown at start otherwise a pretty well beaten trail at times other than many mud wallows along the way. Sun was setting at summit with a snow sled hanging tied up in tree to mark it. Headlamp on finally down in col back to Jay Peak. Shooting star lit my sky sitting down to sup in ski trail and town lights below. A full moon with the evening star near to it shared the night sky with lights below at a later rest stop returning to Jay Pass.
