Ascent Trip ReportHad to find the trailhead and parking spot on 219 in rain in the late afternoon. Was cold and drizzling/light rain but kept warm by quickly managing the wet and slippery logging road. Lot of leaves and wet rocks and water flowing. Decided to go in tennis shoes instead of boots, but it was ok. Just a few slips and some seepage. To WV/MD border marker then out in open along cairned path to summit with sign and log book. Unfortunately no view at all due to rain and clouds. Down in short time, right before it started to get dark, slightly wet. |
