Ascent Trip ReportStopped for this on the way to Buffalo for dinner at a friends. Pleasantly surprised in the road conditions leading all the way to the tower, which we stopped at first. This was our whopping 6th unplanned lookout tower of the weekend. Wondering how many are left in the black hills. This one may have been the tallest, and I was wondering why they made it so tall when you didn't have to get far above the ground for the views you need here. Another disappointing no entry, and the wyoming winds coming in were typical - strong and cold. We then drove over so I could trot up to the highpoint, nice to find a BM here. |
