Ascent Trip Report

Solo climb to both peaks. No snow. Good camping at lake half way up to Warrior with water. Ideal for slow movers like me that cannot do approach and climb in a single day. Lots is said about the difficulty rating of route 1 in the guide. I checked it out and for me solo it was a definitive no-go. But for a good climber no problem. I could see the way up but just did not trust myself to the extent that I tried.
Other thoughts: The scree is little problem as long as you climb on the side of the couloir to the mid point between the two peaks. There is good rock to hold on to and to climb.
Last, I found the down climb over the boulder field and scree exhausting and tedious. Especially the large stone seem to shift under my feet continuously. It took me way longer to get down than up. Bit I have never liked going down anyway and am not good at ti.
