Ascent Trip Report

Great loop hike in Evans Notch in the White Mountains. We backpacked over the summit of Caribou and camped at about 2600 feet. EXTREMELY windy but otherwise nice site. We had the mountain to ourselves. Trail marking is very sketchy. The most difficult part to follow is on the summit. Trail is extremely muddy much of the way. Great views from the summit and fantastic views along Morrison Brook on the Caribou Trail.
