Ascent Trip Report

The gated dirt road to the top of Oak Hill starts off of Oak Hill Rd in Loudon. My dad and I got there at about 4:00 PM.

The road kept an easy grade for almost its entire length. It passed some houses, logged-out areas, and trails. The hike wasn't really exciting; there wasn't a lot of scenery (until the top), and it was foggy and wet.

After walking for about a half-hour, we reached the summit. We decided to climb up the fire tower, which was very wet and slippery. There were no views from it because of the fog I mentioned.

We took a water break and decided to go back down the road.

I would go back to this place when it's not foggy.
