Ascent Trip ReportFinal mountain bike ride of my CA-NV-UT Peakbagging Trip. I rode my mountain bike from UT-14. All previous trip report mileages are correct. I rode my bike all the way up to the intersection with FS-1643 without any problems. From there, a number of downed trees and large puddles from a recent rainstorm impeded my progress by bike. I walked it most of the way to the hard turn to the left right near the edge of the mountain. From here, I ditched the bike and headed to the right. I was able to find the summit cairn after about 5 minutes of wandering around. It's a Smokey the Bear jar with a register inside. The ride back to my car took less than 10 minutes. Pics |
