Ascent Trip Report

We left the car on the river bank, next to the small farm gate at 5.663777, 100.886555. Through the gates, we crossed a small field and then climbed a steep trail. From time to time, we need to scramble, sometimes using fixed ropes. We met locals with sugar palm in their bags. It looked a bit strange. The group of monkeys at the top, amazingly, descended so naturally and so quickly down the steep cliff. The top is marked with a flag and a marker. Soon we went down the same way.

1h40 up, 1h20 down, 3h00 roundtrip.

Photos from Gunung Pulai

This was a self-organized trip. Made with the help of a driver in Indonesia and a few local guides in Malaysia. Due to landslides, all parks in the Perak region in Malaysia were closed, so we substituted them with a few-day peakbagging trip in Indonesia.
