Ascent Trip ReportWe parked car in the village at the end of the road at -6.635722, 110.884555. There was no obvious registration office, and we didn't look for it for a long time. A comfortable trail goes almost all the way to the top. On the descent, the trail is quite slippery. It is often used by locals with motorcycles. There are quite a few coffee trees around the path. The last few hundred meters of the trail are quite steep, but not difficult. A temple with strange sculptures sits atop the mountain. There is also a bright red triangulation pillar. The HP is another two hundred meters away, with a flag. We descended down the same path. A nice short hike with great views and delicious coffee at the trailhead.
2h05 up, 1h35 down, 3h40 round trip.
Photos from Muria
This was a self-organized trip. Made with the help of a driver in Indonesia and a few local guides in Malaysia. Due to landslides, all parks in the Perak region in Malaysia were closed, so we substituted them with a few-day peakbagging trip in Indonesia.
