Ascent Trip ReportDrove 2+ hours from Duluth, Minnesota to Lutsen, then through forest roads to trailhead. Hike to summit area was very nice- passing into the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area and then by Whale Lake. Brady and Hayley set a strong pace- reaching the summit in 1:18. Took photos at summit plaque and benchmark. Ate lunch in summit area, nice view of lakes in area below summit, then hiked back down to trailhead. 7 miles round trip- beautiful day, relatively easy hike. Highpoint #31 |
