Ascent Trip ReportAs far as I can determine, Farrell Hill is the 12th highest named summit point in Ohio. I thought I would be able to drive close to the summit using a road on the northeast side, but it was gated. I chose to climb via a powerline right-of-way on the north side with an ATV path leading directly to an area of apparently unused communication towers surrounded by a tall fence with an unlocked gate. My GPS led me to a slightly raised point of ground within the fence that looked man-made. No view is visible from the summit due to trees, but the narrow, treeless powerline right-of-way allows a limited vista to the north. This climb completed my goal of reaching the 12 highest named points in Ohio. I might be the first person to have ever done this!
