Ascent Trip ReportAfter hiking nearby Wakely Mountain earlier in the day, I made a quick trip to the overlook/views of Sawyer Mountain. Elevation gain is mild-to-moderate throughout (approximately 600 feet) and the views towards Sugarloaf, Wakely, Panther and Snowy Mountains and the Cedar River Valley were quite nice. For the effort, this was a delightful climb. All of the extant traffic on the trail that day (including a party of 12 with numerous small children) were leaving the trail as I arrived, making for a restful, contemplative little hike.
