Ascent Trip Report

I parked at the roadside at 43.232972, -3.073277. I think the parking described by Steve is the better option. I was penalized twice for driving "a little" closer to the summit. First time, when I had to walk along a trail overgrown with conifers. The second time, I needed to re-ascend because I used a different trail for the descent.

The first half kilometer is a marked, muddy, and slippery shortcut trail to the hut. Then an easy ascent on short grass to the summit, which is marked with a small monument and has a concrete trig pillar a few meters away. With low and dense clouds, visibility was 50 meters. No views, good training for the imagination. A half minute later, I was descending. This time I decided to use a longer switchback trail, just to avoid the muddy shortcut.

0h45 up, 0h45 down, 1h30 roundtrip.
