Ascent Trip Report

Via Emmons Glacier (which has the largest surface area of any glacier in the contiguous US) from camp Sherman, Mountaineers trip with Cebe. Everyone in the party of 12 tagged it, pretty windy all the way up, knock you over gusts on top, but stars and sunny all day. Route was very direct due to all the late season snow this year and cold summer temps. A few sketchy snow bridges that probably won't make it through the week, so the route will become more circuitous very soon. Only saw one party of two the whole day, we had the whole route to ourselves. Left Sherman on Sat. morning, tons of people coming in to climb on the weekend... good to avoid this one on the weekend if you can. Can't wait to do it again.
