Ascent Trip Report

I found a pretty easy way up Foster but it's not the shortest. I parked along Otis Jones Rd to the east and walked up a rutted forest road along the ridgeline. The road ends around 1,300' and from there I hiked the open ridge over to Majesty Rock Bend/Golden Maple Dr. There's a paved road practically to the summit. You only have to walk about 100' off the paved road to reach the highpoint. Great views around the slide area.

This route avoids all houses so you'll have the place to yourself. My only concern was the parking area. People driving along Hwy 108 can see your vehicle...if they're paying attention. A police officer may get suspicious with a vehicle parked here since this road goes nowhere. I didn't have any issues, however. Take note that this is private property. There is also a house on this property but it is apparently abandoned. You can't see it on this route. The homeowner lives in Florida.
