Ascent Trip Report

A 100 foot hill just off the trail known as "Black Hill Loop" in the "Protected Habitat Area" of the "Backcountry" of Government Canyon State Natural Area. This point can only be accessed from September through February from 7am-10pm on Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon.

This point was visited during a tour of GCSNA in search of the true highest point of San Antonio. I flew to SA to get this done before it closed for the spring and summer.

NOTE: Although this is the tallest "feature" in San Antonio and GCSNA, it does not seem to be the highest point, which lies on the northwest ridge of Black Hill where the city boundary crosses.
