Ascent Trip Report1st of 3 hikes today, two days before running in the Mesa Marathon.
Upper parking lot was about 2/3 full when I arrived just after 7am. First 1/2 mile is easy, but the next 3/4 mile is steep with railings embedded into the rock. I tried not to use them on the way up, but was thankful for them on the way down. The summit wasn't too crowded, but I certainly wouldn't want to be on this mountain on the weekend. Beautiful views all around the valley.
When I returned to my car, the upper lot was full and the lower lot was about half full.
