Ascent Trip ReportSaturday. From the Garden up to Little Porter, to Porter Ridge, across ridge and down over bumps to Blueberry to Airport parking lot. Work day for Schenectady Chapter, our group leader: Chris Koeblein. Fantastic day, clear and warm. Hit snow about 2/3 of way up Porter. Much "postholing" but not too much trail to clear. No one else on top. Saw 3 lads trying to maker Porter but they turned back above snow line. Probably mid 60s. Lots of snow on ridge, up to 4 feet and also down steep section. Rest of group (5) worked up from airport but did not meet us. We finally caught up with them at the creek and walked out about 6:00 p.m. 1 1/2 hours from summit of Blueberry. Dinner at Noonmark Diner.
