Ascent Trip ReportCovid is “over”. Kind of. Sort of. Everything is so different this season with strong measures to prevent outbreaks in camps. Covid tests are required, and everyone has to be vaccinated. Triple vax for me with a blend of J&J and Moderna for broad spectrum protection. Climbers are asked to avoid socializing intragroup indoors. Apparently there was an outbreak on day 1 in Mulas. Omnicron is wrecking havoc in Argentina and the world.
Besides this part, the mountain is normal with the standard zoo. I acclimated on Mercedario the week before so could summit Aconcagua on the first good weather day of the season. Highly recommend this pro strat. Fuk the zoo. |
