Ascent Trip ReportOvernight backpack to climb Pike, Cody, and Palm Mesa as well as other nearby peaks and benchmarks. I started on Coyote Canyon Road at the 2nd crossing. Walked the road to the Indian canyon trailhead, then went up the canyon and ascended a ridge towards the peaks. I dropped my gear, climbed Deering and then descended into the wash. I then climbed Palm Mesa, dropped back into the wash, and returned to my gear. I set up camp and spent the night. Day 2 I climbed Pike, Pike Summit, Army, Dry, Phil, Norte, Cody, and Peak 4824 in a big counter clockwise loop. I then returned to camp, packed up my gear, and descended. The only benchmark I actually found was Norte. I found registers on most peaks but there were a couple I didn't. Cody was my San Diego 100 Peaks list finish!
