Ascent Trip ReportOne day ascent from Paradise. Departed Paradise at 1:00am, left the Muir snowfield just under under Anvil Rock (8800ft), crossed the Cowlitz and Ingrahm glaciers to gain the Whitman Glacier and the normal ascent route. Spent some time on the summit, back to the cars at 8pm, a long 19 hour day, but all stars sun. 16 miles 7000+ft gain. We heard some massive rock slides and saw rising dust from the Nisqually (which is completely falling apart this summer) during our afternoon return on the Cowlitz. Very cool views of the D.C. route of Rainier.
