Ascent Trip Report

Driving notes:
Mileages from the end of the pavement on the Squamish River Main:
0.7 mi Ashlu Main branches off at a large bridge across the river-continue straight ahead
1.8 BR100 branch road-this is an alternative route/approach.
2.1 Power Plant and bridge
3.7 BR2OO-take this (right) steeply uphill. High clearance advised.
4.7 Switchback. stay on main road
5.1 A major junction-stay right (straight ahead).
5.9 A flat muddy landing area.
7.4, 7.8, 7.9 Minor juntions-stay right closest to High Falls Creek valley bottom for all junctions.
8.2 Bridge crossing High Falls Creek. Rusting hulk on north side. Take the small overgrown spur immediately after bridge crossing branching right on the south side. Overgrown but driveable as of 7/2011. This is a good place to park if you want to go easy on your vehicle.
8.7 Small very overgrown spur-stay left on "main" branch. Beyond this point the road gets much steeper and rougher.
10.4 Point at which I parked due to snow blockage.
10.7(?) Road ends at ~3500 feet.

From road end it is bascially a steep hike to the top with several options. Probably best when still mostly snow covered. Two communications obelisks on top and a soggy register.
